Since 1982 Mr Björn Mansson has worked at the Editorial Department of Hufvudstadsbladet, the largest Swedish Daily Newspaper in Finland. Throughout his career he has been a respected and controversial journalist of domestic and European politics. In more than 3000 published editorials he has repeatedly focused on different aspects of minority rights. He often reported about domestic minority questions, as Roma and refugees and minorities in other European countries, as the Danes in Northern Germany or the Germans in Southern Denmark or the situation in Corsica before European Integration and the influence of European Integration in this issue. He is focusing very often on minority issues and language policies in different countries and in the whole EU framework. In his function of President of the "Nordic Federation of Journalists" (till 2003) and as Vice Chair of the "European Federation of Journalists" he raising attention to the significance of human rights and cultural diversity.
